Indiana University Kokomo is a regional campus that is part of Indiana University. This academic entity was established in 1945 when Indiana University took over Kokomo Junior College, which in turn had been opened in 1932 by John and George Beauchamp. The current enrollment is made of 3109 students, with 2433 enrolled in undergraduate studies and 97 attending graduate school. This university is characterized by having a low student-faculty ratio (15 to 1), and also by featuring the lowest tuition cost of any public university in Indiana.

Allied Health: This academic institution is a recognized leader in health science education and clinical practice. Labor Studies Program: This is an interdisciplinary program that focuses on different aspects of work: the workplace, workers and their organizations, and the interactions between them. Its main objective is to prepare workers and future workers to strengthen the labor movement.
Nursing: This is a program that is very attractive in an age in which the healthcare professional field is growing rapidly and offering new opportunities. An important feature is the newly constructed St. Joseph Clinical Simulation Center, opened in 2011.
Public Affairs and Environmental Science: This school offers a wide academic variety, including Criminal Justice, Public Affairs, Public Management, Homeland Security/Emergency Management and Correctional Management and Supervision.
